Advisory Committee

In 2016, the multi-stakeholder IRIS Advisory Committee (IAC) was established to provide strategic support to the IRIS Secretariat, including guidance on the scope, structure, partnerships and priorities of the initiative. Through the IAC, IRIS promotes a balanced, multi-stakeholder approach to policy development and operations.

The IAC comprises representatives of all key stakeholders in cross-border recruitment, including: government, international organizations, employers and brands, labour recruiters, civil society and trade unions, as well as other multi-stakeholder initiatives.

The Committee meets twice a year to:

  • Discuss and support IRIS objectives to promote ethical recruitment
  • Provide strategic and technical advice to the IRIS Secretariat
  • Share best practices and advances in stakeholder efforts to promote ethical recruitment
